Poems

On the Roof

I went and saw two mice playing on the roof

I ran and fell on my face

I gave blood to the ground

the earth gave me grass

I gave the grass to the sheep

The sheep gave me butter

I gave the butter to an old woman

The old woman gave me Goghal

I gave the Goghal to a Mullah

The Mullah gave me a book

I gave the book to God

God gave me life.

My Daughter

My daughter, my lovely one
My song, my saz
May your days be full of flowers
May your life be full of joy
May you see sweet dreams
May you gather flowers in your dreams
Don't be dishonest,
May your days be sweet sugar
May you give your mother flowers
May you give you her stalks of wheat
You are my duck, my goose
My beautiful voice
With you, the day is heaven
You're my heart my soul
You're the blood in my veins
You're my candy, my sugar crystal
You're my wish, my life
All of your words are dear to me
Your smile is the world
Your clothes are are so colorful
My daughter, how beautiful!

Spring days

Come, come spring days.
The years dearest days.
Melt the snow in the mountains,
Melt the snow in the gardens.
Let the rivers overflow,
Let the fields touch the sky.
May The trees flowers open
Let the leaves be like petals.

Let Novruz Come

Every moment of the holiday,

The kids are happy

They run around the gardens

The adults are proud

They wash their hands and faces

They put on new clothes

They are happy, they are dancing

Life is smiling on them

They congratulate everyone

They kiss their brothers and sisters

They hug each other as they see each other

All of their relatives

It's every child's wish that

Novruz comes every year

Pockets full of candy

May everyday be a holiday
